Customer Reviews

Balanced, intelligent and light-hearted. It's not hard to understand what they're talking about and they make it interesting. Love Jacob's rants!

Good combination of humour & intelligent analysis

There are quite a few good double act podcasts out there and this is one the best balanced ones. The debates are intelligent and informative but they still let rip on the occasional rant when they encounter a particularly stunning incident of religious insanity. Well worth the listen.

worth dipping your toe in the water, be you a believer or not

An excellent antidote to all the podcasts that take themselves seriously to the point of bursting. there are far to many podcasts out there that stand on a podium and preach the good word of their side of the argument. thankfully the good atheist is NOT one of them. Host Jacob fires from the hip and takes few prisoners when arguing his obviously passionate and thoughtout opinions but he is policed well by his co-host Ryan who really adds the sort of balance lacking in many podcasts. To say they have a laugh is not to take away from the fact that this is a very valid contribution to religious discussion. I am not an athesist myself but the easy conversational style of the episodes and their focus on highlighting extremism on the fringes of religion combines nicely with the feeling that they DON'T simply mock people for having a belief. you get the feeling that these are nice lads trying to get to the roots of morality with or without God. worth dipping your toe in the water
