A podcast about professional podcasting!
Aaron Dowd is the Podcast Dude!
I originally heard about Aaron from the first Seanwes podcast episodes.
Aaron has helped setup some of the most popular podcasts in our industry.
He has a wealth of knowledge, hard won skills and practical tools to share if you are looking to start your own podcast.
Although a new show, Aaron has already given large volumes of value to the listeners of this podcast. Speaking to Aaron personally he is very generous with his audio knowledge, giving out advice to anyone in need of it.
If you have a podcast, or are looking to set one up near future. This is a resource you really don’t want to be without.
I really want to like this show
There is good content/info in this show. But you have to pay close attention to hear it because the host has a difficult time staying focused on an answer before wandering unit another aside.
Despite how often I've heard it said on this show, oftentimes it seems as if there is no outline. Most of the discussion appears off the cuff which accounts for the inability to stay on topic.
I get that the show is hosted by some guy called seanwes but I have no idea who he is. And all the references to "the community" and how it'll help me make it seem like an old school friend is in a cult and trying to get me to come over and try some kool aid.
There is good content to be found. But the host needs to slow down and speak on the listener's level. He will mention a thing and begin talking about it but without any context for the layperson who doesn't know about audio engineering. Then he'll backtrack an explanation but any momentum from the initial topic is lost.
Good show. But it *can* get better.
The amount of value on this show blows my mind.
I’m in the pre-production stages of starting up my own podcast series and this has become my main source for learning. Aaron really doesn’t hold back in sharing his years of podcasting knowledge and experience to help listeners create great results. With the amount that I’ve learnt already just from listening through these shows, I feel like I’m cheating my way through to producing a great podcast! It’s definitely worth having a notepad and pen to hand to note down the many golden nuggets of information that he provides.
Thank you for all you time and hard work put into producing these Aaron.
