Customer Reviews

Absolute gem!

After years of listening to podcasts I recently stumbled across 'The Sound of 78s' and couldn't quite work out why it had taken me so long to do so. It's beautifully presented, wonderfully informative and crisply recorded to boot! Basically all you could ever want from an introduction to 78 recordings. Only one problem - there haven't been any fresh episodes for some years. It's a problem I've come across this before. Polished podcasts get lost amongst the dross and first rate shows fade away probably unaware of just how much they are appreciated. The answer is for listeners to let the podcasters know they're doing good work by reviewing before it's too late. So a belated well done to Mr Wilmut - I shall continue to enjoy the episodes that remain and let's hope that the old gramophone will be cranked back to life in the not too distant future.
