The World Next Week

This is a remarkable 30 minute shot in the arm for those who have an interest in world affairs and want an informed overview which does not get too technical. The format is friendly, in the form of a dialogue between two people who know their stuff. I am European but I do not find the North American affiliation of the presenters to be anything less than internationalist, insofar as one can be so. For me it is is crucial weekend listening as I move around my city. Thanks CFR: this is brilliant: I have found nothing quite like it (although The Economist does a similar thing on a smaller scale).

Excellent podcast

Always enjoyable and insightful, this is one of the best summaries of global affairs for people interested in the topic.

Great podcast but technical difficulty

I do enjoy these podcasts. However, with increasing frequency, I find that when I try and run it on my iPod Touch, the specific podcast opens for a split second (doens't play anything) and then returns to the main 'The World Next Week' page. It plays fine on my Windows 10 Laptop, but not on the iPod. This is the ONLY title of a long list of different podcasts that I listen to where I experience this problem.
I've given 4 stars, because it IS good...when I can play it on my iPod!
