Promising

A good podcast all about the local community. only done a couple so far, but I think it has a lot of promise. Looks like it will be bringing news and current affairs for Ramsbottom and bringing local business owners together with the local cumminuity. I'm looking forward to what future episodes bring. Keep up the good work.

Rammy Alive

Good for you Rammy! Good for you Lee (whover you are!). I found the informal presentation style laconic but warm. Almost cosy. Great to see someone putting their efforts into promoting a brilliant, thriving town. Advertising revenue aside, this site (and resulting podcasts) clearly has altrusitic leanings. Keep it under 5 mins and people will listen.
Interviews within this 5 mins with local people or passing notaries, always keeps the listener receptive. More interviews are essential.
The disseminating of locl events is fine, but could be covered in equal appeal with its associated local publication - espressonews. Nevertheless, its still worth an oral mention for those with smart phones, etc who can't pick up paper copies.
The interview with Paul Morris? Very good. Allowed him to promote the Chocolate Festival without too much 'in your face' self promotion.
Hopefully these podcasts will allow others to see what a vibrant alternative to south Manchester this area actually is.
Plus, traffic jams are infrequent and there is real fresh air here (take note you Didsbury residents)

Has put Rammy on my bucket list

Having ventured to Ramsbottom only once before (well, Holcombe Moor) I found this show via Twitter. Lee has a great style and ‘meeting’ local businesses and people is interesting for non residents as well as those in the area.

I’m now totally feeling the need to go and visit all the sites as a result of the show. Especially Lolo’s, and I’m not even vegan. Bravo.
