Vyvyan is a medical student with spiky red hair and four metal stars across his forehead. The regular target of his rage is Rick, an arrogant little poseur who sees himself as a real anarchist, but is in fact a cowardly Cliff Richard obsessive. The only common ground that Rik and Vyv share is their mutual loathing of Neil, a refugee from the hippy era whose flower power is definitely wilting. Of course, in amongst this bunch of misfits Mike sees himself as the house cool guy. He’s a well dressed, coiffured smoothie who thinks he always has the situation under control.
|1||VideoBambi||When Mike decides it's time to visit the launderette, one of Vyvyan’s socks escapes and the machine revolts against their stinking bundle of washing. Neil suddenly remembers they are due to appear on University Challenge. Vyvyan loses his head during the train journey, and it looks like Scumbag will lose to Footlights College, Oxbridge, when a giant eclair stops play.||34:49||£1.89||View in iTunes|

Inside is a vampire, but though the Young Ones are all virgins they don't want to lose face by admitting it. Saved by sunlight, they take the body to the graveyard, where the vampire turns out to be Harry the Bastard, from whom they rented the video and the deadline for returning it has just elapsed.||34:54||£1.89||View in iTunes|

While Rik and Vyvyan rampage round the house, the radio announces Helen is an escaped murderess, so she tries to kill them all. Already got series one so I had to purchase series two. For me this is were british television comedy began. Great job iTunes....... now all we need is the Bottom series to follow this , then the Bottom live Tours.......
To young originally - even now this is great.
I was a bit young when this came out and either never watched or didn't really get it. Watching it now, even amoungst some great comedies I grew up with like The Fast Show, Alan Partridge, Blackadder and laterly The MIghty Boosh - The Young Ones is still up there with the best. All the actors are great and as was seen with Bottom, Mayall and Edmondson make a great combination. Just buy it - don't winge about the price.
Classic slapstick comedy
Great Stuff! Can't believe I can now watch it on my ipod. Who cares about the price?
