Take the good-monster concept of "Twilight", relocate that to a slightly boho North London pad (or wherever it is) and produce it by someone who watched too much "Spaced". Similar in sensibility and pace to the latter but tending towards the drama more than the comedy, it is "yet another vampire production" but similar to Twilight only in that one of the main characters is a vampire who tries to live a normal live, saying hello to his neighbours while getting by on raw chicken out of the bin. What I like about this program is that the characters are deeply likeable and well-realised, and you end up caring a gret deal about them. The cons are that the beginning and end credits are a little "cheap" (sort of UK mid 80s drama-style episode titling and end credits) and the occasional hammy line. Check it out!
Why buy it?
It is a great show, but, it's available for free on the BBC iPlayer. In fact all episodes that have currently been released are on there...which at the time of writing means that there are two more there than on iTunes. So why pay for it?
I'm totally in love with the show. The characters are were structured and the slight hint of comedy makes the show a fantastic watch. 10 out of 10. (;
