Bear Grylls is awesome. This is a quality programme and really enjoyable to watch. To those of you who believe it is fake: IT IS NOT FAKE. He has a small team so that if he does get in serious trouble he doesn't die. Apart from that he is on his own. I'd like to see the pathetic weak idiots who are calling it fake do any of what Bear does in his programmes. Overall, this is just absolutely brilliant.
This is a documentary showing a very experienced surival 'expert' put through scenarios by an accompanying film crew. If you want absolute realism then this will not be for you and I suggest you watch 'Survivorman'. If you are looking for great entertainment and an appealing, often shocking presentation of survival techniques then this will be more suited. Bear Grylls will often show an honest approach from a military back ground, his techniques are often not explained in the detail as say Ray Mears would show but are effective none the less. All in all a very entertaining show showing survival techniques in a controlled situation, not staged. Enjoy.
Yeah, I completely agree with Jimjams. I mean, Im just a normal guy and I consistently wrestle and kill 6 foot crocs and catch 5pound Catfish with my bare hands. *SARCASM* How could that be faked! And who cares if some of it is "faked". Mr Grylls demonstrates many amazing skills that have left me gobsmacked. So, shutup Jimjams, and everyone else, go watch Bear Grylls!
