The Doctor, Romana and K-9 are led to Boscombe Moor on Earth in the late 20th century. Here they encounter the eccentric locals and a fascinating stone circle. But what is the link between an ancient Celtic goddess, an alien criminal and a transporter ship concealed in hyperspace? And can the Doctor reach safety before being sacrificed to the ancient Druidic stones?

You'll never go near another stone circle...

This is the 3rd story in the Key to Time story...

The Doctor is delighted when the tracer shows that the 3rd segment to the Key is on Earth. Keen to show Romana his favourite planet, he rushes headlong into a confrontation with an ancient druidic sect, and ancient celtic goddess.

Why do the number of stones in the circle vary depending on which report you read? What is the significance of the spaceship trapped in hyperspace? With the stones hungry for blood, and his enemies increasing, can the Doctor, Romana, K9 and their only Earth ally, Professor Rumford over come the odds and win the day?

This is a great story - definitely one of the best. Tom Baker and Mary Tamm excel in this story, and their supporting cast are brilliant. The story is great, full of suspense, and creepy. A well written plot, and the special effects are ok, considering it was made in the 70's. It's a story that is good as part of the Key to Time story arc - but it can easily stand on it's own. My advice - buy it, watch it, enjoy it.
