The Little Drummer Girl

Charlie, a fiery and brilliant young actress meets a mysterious stranger in Greece and he draws her into a high-stakes international espionage operation, whilst intelligence officer Kurtz tracks down the perpetrators of a bombing in Germany.

Charlie's world shifts when she learns that the mysterious `Joseph' is really an intelligence officer named Gadi Becker. Becker delivers Charlie to his superior Kurtz, and the wily spymaster offers her the role of a lifetime in the `theatre of the real', to infiltrate a dangerous militia cell.

Germany, 1979. When a bomb goes off in the diplomatic quarter of Bonn, a senior Israeli intelligence agent arrives to investigate. Meanwhile in London, a passionate young actress finds herself drawn into a dangerous international espionage operation.

Charlie awaits contact from Michel's network but worries whether or not her performance will hold up under scrutiny. Feeling uncertain, she and Becker share a last moment together before she crosses the point of no return.

Charlie joins a group of trainee revolutionaries in Lebanon. Now deep undercover, no one can save Charlie if her true identity is exposed. She works to earn the trust of Fatmeh, Khalil and Michel’s sister, and becomes part of the family.

Khalil takes Charlie to an isolated house where he builds a bomb for the planned attack on Professor Minkel, an outspoken academic. Meanwhile, Kurtz and Becker grow concerned about Charlie's state of mind and where her allegiances lie.
