Tom Hollander and Saskia Reeves star in this heartfelt yet amusing portrait of an ordinary marriage which has begun to falter after almost three decades. Douglas and Connie Petersen decide not to cancel their planned family holiday, despite her admission that she is not sure that she wants to stay married to him at all. Determined to save their relationship, as well as his relationship with their son Albie, Douglas seizes the opportunity to change her mind and reinvent himself as they travel through Europe - but the trip does not quite go as he had planned.
