Detective Kurt Wallander returns to investigate a series of violent and terrifying murders in the beautiful setting of Skane, southern Sweden. There are racial tensions when the immigrant community falls under suspicion following the murder of an elderly couple, and Wallander also finds himself on the trail of a potential serial killer. Meanwhile, his personal life is a shambles. He sees little of his daughter, struggles to bond with her new partner and his relationship with his mentally fragile father is pushed to the limit. On top of that the pressures of work cause him to doubt everything, even his abilities as a police officer. Compelling crime drama starring Kenneth Branagh.

These are more than TV shows; they're films. I'd love to see them in the cinema. Brilliant stuff, beautifully shot, worth watching each episode several times. I wish there were dozens of these to watch.
Wallander Series 2
Wallander is a damaged man, haunted by his past and always on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Will the stress his empathy with the victims causes bring him down before he can bring down the killers? It's always in the balance and a fascinating battle to watch. Sometimes painful, often beautifully filmed but always set in that bleak Swedish landscape this is a program not to be missed by any detective drama fan. This 2nd series is every bit as good as the first
It takes the Irish to play a Swedish cop.
Branagh, cameraman, sound man, ringtone man, Volvo and the crew once again get it spot on.
A bit more Euro cop would'nt go amiss.
