The saga of Sookie Stackhouse is reaching bloody new heights in Season Two of the HBO hit vampire series. With the residents of Bon Temps coming under the control of the devious Maryann Forrester, it's up to the perky telepathic waitress (played by Anna Paquin), her blood-sucking soulmate Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and her shape-shifting boss Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) to stave off the threat. Meanwhile, Sookie's roguish brother Jason finds a new purpose in life with the anti-vampire sect Fellowship of the Sun; Lafayette tries to escape the shackles of vampire sheriff Eric; Sam sparks a relationship with a strange new waitress; and Tara forges an amnesia-filled romance with Eggs, one of Maryann's wards. Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Chris Bauer and Deborah Ann Woll co-star.

Customer Reviews

Late, overpriced, and no High-Def

As fans will no doubt be aware, season 2 concluded a long time ago in the US, and has been available in full on iTunes US for as long. aAnd needless to say, iTunes US customers pay half as much as we are expected to, and GET IT IN HIGH DEFINITION!

Apple and HBO, stop treating UK iTunes customers like second class citizens. There is simply no excuse for it.

this is only season 2, which i expect many of us have already seen electronically. it really isnt good enough to present this to us so late, since this has been available for so long. if companies want customers to pay, they should offer the product to us at the same time as the rest of the world. for a programme this good, we'd gladly pay.

Great show, ridiculous release time.

Why do we have to wait nearly a full year after its released in the US?
