Confronted by a family in grief and shocked residents, they must tread carefully as they investigate the life and violent death of the troubled victim. The discovery of Iwan Thomas’s body puts DCI Mathias in the firing line as he becomes the main suspect in the Iwan’s mysterious death. Matters are made worse when an independent investigator, John Powell, is brought in to help solve the case and invites DS Owens to assist with his enquiries.
