Not a scratch on the original.
I adore the original Killing series, but this american version just doesn't work for me. It's slow and very boring. I don't bore easily either. It's lost it's quirky charm. I keep zoning out, so tbh - I've lost the plot. Which is very strange, for me. That's never happened to me before and I know what happens in the series..! lol The tension and excitement of the original, is just not there. I've asked myself if it's because I know what happens, but I've some to the understanding that it isn't. Perhaps I'm just a purist, but somethings just doesn't work translated and rehashed. Sometimes, it's just wrong to do so. In my opinion... ~Irralee x.
Although it is arguable that the series lost the majority of its pace and direction mid-way through, the last episodes of the series fully restore the thrills and pace to a chilling and satisfying close. The performances are spectacular, and so are the shots and scenery - to be able to enjoy The Killing as a whole you have to watch it from the beginning without stopping, making the finales very gratifying to watch, not to mention the fantastic and completely unseen twists in the last episodes that make watching this visionary series worth-while. 8/10.
The killing season 2
I love this show. It's well acted , well scripted and very well directed. The dark settings make it very gritty and worth watching. Just wish it was on more then once a week
