Imagine being the only survivor of a disease that kills every member of your family; that kills friends, lovers, nearly everyone you have ever met . . . You are among the lonely few to live and now you must survive in a strange new world where things that were once safe are made disturbing and unsafe — it's our own world but recycled, re-imagined and reused. Set in the present day, Survivors focuses on the world in the aftermath of a devastating virus which wipes out most of the world's population. What would we do? How would any of us cope in a brave new world where all traditional 21st century comforts — electricity, clean running water, advanced technology — have disappeared? These are the questions asked of the band of survivors in this thrilling new action adventure written by Adrian Hodges. It is a re-imagining of the classic '70s BBC drama series and is based on the novel by Terry Nation.

Great BBC Drama - A real 'nail biter'
My sister said I should check this out. It sounded like the same as plot we've heard countless times before 'a virus kills the human race except a select few' But I have to say this one is really well done! The plot moves at a good pace, pulling you in and there are some twists with the characters right from the first episode. Well done BBC I think you've created something truly great here. If you like this type of story but without the horror of say '28 days later' then this is worth a watch. £1.89 for feature length episodes seems good value too.
Quite GOOD actually
This really isnt a bad show at all, the idea has been done before but this one has a diffrent kind of twist that makes it stand out from the rest!
A ray of hope in TV darkness...
This show is like a fresh of breath air, fantastic acting and writing, showing the BBC at its best. Showing how different people act in such a catashrophic situation, this series is encapsulating form the very start. Survivors has the capacity to be the first 24-episode series on the BBC, just like big American shows. More please!
