As premiered on Sky One. Three generations of a family play host to customers at a seafront cafe in this warm and funny observational comedy series created by talent from the award winning The Royle Family and directed by BAFTA award winner Craig Cash. Sarah's moved back home from London, having lost her boyfriend and her job, so for now she's helping out her mum Carol in the welcoming cafe that's a bit like Friends' Central Perk - but not quite as trendy! Divorcee Carol owns the place, and her mother Mary, a broad minded soul in her 70s, is a permanent fixture. Colourful characters pop in and out of the cafe, including old school friends like Richard, who secretly fancies Sarah and gets wildly jealous of the obvious attraction between her and John, a former classmate who's returned to the town as a successful businessman.

As the rest of the gang arrive for their regular tea break they get more than they expected when faced with their old school friend John. Once a pudgy bully, now a handsome successful businessman, why is he back and more importantly does his return mean a potential love interest for her daughter asks Carol?
