As premiered on Sky One. Three generations of a family play host to customers at a seafront cafe in this warm and funny observational comedy. We revisit the lives of Sarah, a struggling writer who moved back home after her London life fell apart, her divorced mum Carol who owns the cafe, and grandmother Mary, a broad-minded soul who’s now moved on from knitting to tweeting. As the world of these three women intertwines with the lives of a colourful bunch of local friends and customers, Sarah has to face the reality of her ex Richard's forthcoming wedding.
|HDVideoDiminishing Returns||Welcome back to a bustling Cyril’s Café, where Mary has evolved from knitting to tweeting and time has been kind to Stan and Carol’s relationship. He’s got the ring, now he just needs to find the right moment to pop the question. Of course, all is not well in Weston. Sarah is still single, Kieran’s depressed, Chloe’s having an affair with a married estate agent and, just to rub Sarah’s nose in it, Ava and Richard are love’s young dream with an announcement to make. Brenda, as ever, has grand plans, and this time she wants to take Carol along with her.||22:01||£2.49||View in iTunes
|HDVideoConnection Failure||The circus is in town, the internet is down, Phil is due in half an hour to start photographing The Café and what is that smell? Kieran is furious that the clowns are stealing his thunder, but it seems Sarah has bigger things on her mind than pacifying her grumpy friend. Richard and Ava’s wedding is still something she is struggling to come to terms with and the last thing she needs is her dad sticking his nose in about what she is doing with her life and career. Carol’s in a right flap and every time Stan seems to be plucking up the courage to find that right moment to talk to her alone.||22:19||£2.49||View in iTunes
|HDVideoThere Were Three in the Bed||Things are looking pretty rosy with the gang in Weston this sunny Saturday morning. Sarah's looking forward to some quality time on her own with Richard tonight. They’re playing darts - just the two of them. Chloe's got plans for a dirty 'Groupon' weekend with her married Estate Agent. Mary's got an extra shiny twinkle in her eye too, while Mrs Dobson's away, she and Mr. Dobson have plans of their own involving a weighty set of shiny new boules. The ice seems to be thawing between Phil and his daughter, while Stan's plan to propose isn’t going quite so well.||21:50||£2.49||View in iTunes
|HDVideoTime and Tide||It’s an important day for Cyril’s. Phil is taking an official picture of the staff and loyal customers for the Weston tourist brochure. Even the Mayor is coming! But Carol isn’t happy. She and Stan have fallen out, and Sarah is dating a criminal, and she must be coming down with something because she’s in and out of the toilet and she keeps getting awful hot flushes. It’s probably not the best time for Mary to point out to her daughter that the “change” seems to have kicked in.||22:22||£2.49||View in iTunes
|HDVideoMum’s the Word||Plans for Richard and Ava’s wedding are escalating, it seems the young groom will do anything to make the day as special as he can for his lovely bride. The last thing Sarah needs is for Carol to remind her what she’s missing out on, or for Ava to confide her concerns that they just can’t afford such an elaborate reception. Sarah knows she has the solution to make Richard and Ava’s day both perfect and affordable, but will she be able to find it in herself to help Ava have the day that could have – should have - been her own?||22:24||£2.49||View in iTunes
|HDVideoStags or Hens||It’s the night before the wedding and, in traditional fashion, Ava and Richard are having their hen and stag do’s. Ava is at the Café with the ladies and Kieran playing drinking games, while Sarah, Richard and his very boring friend Dave, are playing a drunken game of hide and seek on the beach. As Sarah and Richard hide from Dave they are left alone to reminisce about their past. Is it rose tinted spectacles, or is there really still something left unresolved between them? What about Ava? What about Jason? What about tomorrow? Getting drunk seems to be the only way for Sarah to cope.||23:53||£2.49||View in iTunes
|HDVideoReap What You Sow, Pt. 1||Stan and Jason have covered The Café in flowers for the Weston in Bloom competition, and it’s now the perfect venue for Richard and Ava’s wedding reception. As Jason adds the finishing touches everyone else is waiting at the church for the wedding ceremony to begin. When Ava is late, Sarah starts to worry. But it gives her some time to tell to Kieran and Chloe what happened between her and Richard the night before. And to confess her fears that she may have scared Ava off. Is Richard doing the right thing? Has Richard chosen the right bride?||20:00||£2.49||View in iTunes
|HDVideoReap What You Sow, Pt. 2||Photos of the The Café have been taken for the Weston brochure, so it’s time for Phil to leave town. Will his departure give Stan the courage to finally ask Carol the question he’s been stalling on for so long? What will Carol’s answer be? And will his parting words to his daughter inspire her to finally tell Richard how she really feels about him, even though by now it’s surely it’s too late. Isn’t it….?||26:28||£2.49||View in iTunes
