All the right ingredients.....but..
This has all the right ingredients with a good cast (other than the hideously miscast Lesley Nicol as the head of a crime family), clever story and of course Shonda Rhimes involved in the production. But, the cast descend into caricatures of their roles as the series progresses. Meanwhile the plot just gets entirely unbelievable; a sacrifice, no doubt, made to support the rather cartoon like nature of the characters as they are made into “mod-pop” avatars to appeal to a younger audience. I happen to believe that modern audiences are smart enough to get subtle and nuanced stories without the need for this. Shame, really as this could have been quite brilliant.
