Released in 2006, 18 Anos de Musica is a greatest-hits package from Andalusian experimental outfit Triana. Influenced by the likes of King Crimson and Vanilla Fudge, the Spanish trio's unique fusion of prog rock and flamenco is showcased throughout the 18 tracks, including early hit singles "Abre la Puerta" and "En el Lago," the ten- and 13-minute epics "Hasta Volver" and "Llego el Dia," and material from their later more commercial output ("Tu Frialdad"). ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Spanish experimental rock band Triana was formed in the mid-'70s by ex-Los Payos guitarist Eduardo Rodríguez, drummer Juan José Palacios, and ex-Tabaca Jesús de la Rosa. Triana's first album, called El Patio, was released in 1974. Soon after, the band was touring the local club circuit, recording Hijos Del Agobio in 1977 and Sombra y Luz in 1979.
