A staple of '90s chill-out rooms, Global Communication's 76:14 is a trip to the deepest reaches of inner space, where trance-inducing arpeggios punctuate misty synthesisers and endless reverb. On "14:31", a ticking clock sets the meditative pace; "7:39" anticipates Boards of Canada's underwater hip-hop, while "8:07" borrows the melody from Tangerine Dream's "Love on a Real Train". This is ambient music at its most atmospheric—and it can enhance virtually any atmosphere, from sleepless nights to morning walks.
