Spanish hard rock & blues guitarist Javier Vargas (Santana, Prince, Raimundo Amador) emulates idol Jeff Beck by making an album with the rock & roll royalty rhythm section of Carmine Appice and Tim Bogert (Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, Rod Stewart, etc.) Featuring Paul Shortino on vocals, the trio revisits classic rock staples by Deep Purple, AC/DC, Gary Moore, and Cheap Trick, among others. The special edition includes a DVD of the making of the album, and a live CD by the Javier Vargas Blues Band during their 2010 European tour.

Rock drummer Carmine Appice has appeared in a variety of groups over the years, starting with Vanilla Fudge in 1966. That band made five charting albums between 1967 and 1969, the most successful of which was the gold-selling debut Vanilla Fudge. Appice and Vanilla Fudge bassist Tim Bogert then formed Cactus with guitarist Jim McCarty (not the Jim McCarty from the Yardbirds) and singer Rusty Day.
