Album Review

On her 16th recording, lauded inspirational singer/songwriter Kathy Troccoli delivers a collection of ballads, spirituals, and choice covers that echo the album's title. Comfort is a simple, reverent, and ultimately moving exercise in CCM that relies simply on piano, guitar, and Troccoli's effortless vocals to convey the artist's deep spirituality. Acoustic versions of fan favorites like "Water into Wine" and "You're Still Here," as well as a lovely rendition of the Carole King classic "You've Got a Friend," make Comfort as easy to love as it is to listen to.
