Album Review

Some people believe it takes a little suffering for an artist to reach the true inspiration deep within them. A lot of people might not agree, but maybe it was some suffering through trying times that helped gospel singer, songwriter, and musician Wayne Watson pen the songs on this self-titled recording that was released in the summer of 2000. Before he started work on this album, an accident left Watson in no shape to continue the uncompromising schedule of his longtime demanding musical career. It took him only a little over two months to write all of the songs for this self-titled offering. Some of the powerful tunes fans can sample on this recording are "The Ones Left Standing," "Pray," "The Blood of Jesus," "More Than a Little Unusual," and "Everything Can Change So Fast."

A series of albums like 1982's New Lives for Old, 1984's...
