Goddank Vir Klank/The Fat Lady Sings was released in 2001, a time when nobody could get enough of Springbok Nude Girls. The Nudies, unfortunately, seemed to have had enough of themselves. Each new month brought idle threats that they were doing their last tour, ever. This two-disc offering collected the cream of their catalogue at the time: an 18-track tour-de-force of all their Top 40 treffers, and a B-side of sorts with unreleased, unpolished titles stacked up against each other. They’re all rooted in lead singer Arno Carstens' signature timbre and sex appeal, and one of the best rock bands to come out of SA.
