Album Review

The unusual prospect of remixes by a folk artist is a promising one, and the songs Ani Difranco has chosen to experiment with ("Joyful Girl" and "Shameless" from Dilate) seem well suited to the format. Unfortunately, DiFranco merely finds a few interesting sounds and repeats them until they're no longer interesting. The live recordings ("Joyful Girl" with Doc Severinsen's orchestra, "Both Hands" solo) are more engaging.
