Album Review

Barry Tashian (ex-Remains, Flying Burritos Brothers East, and Emmylou's Hot Band) and his wife Holly team up for a nice, intimate-sounding disc. More than half of the disc's 12 tunes are originals, and two of the covers reflect Barry's association with Gram Parsons: "Blue Eyes" and "I Can't Dance." The inclusion of a cover of the Buddy Knox hit "Party Doll" at first seems an odd choice, but ultimately fits in. The Tashians obviously care about the music they make and it shows.
