Ya Gotta Have Heart is a ballpark organist Eddie Layton's musical celebration of thirty years with the yankees. Already a renowned organist or worldwide fame, Layton is here celebrating three decades making music for the Yankees. Of course the first track is "Take Me Out To The Ball Game," among the other selections are "Lady Is A Tramp/My Kind of Town," "When You're Smiling" and "New York, New York." Everything comes out bright as new turf from Layton's Hammond B-3 organ.

Although well regarded by aficionados of space age pop, Hammond organ virtuoso Eddie Layton was even more beloved by visitors to the House That Ruth Built, serving close to four decades as the official organist at baseball's landmark Yankee Stadium. Born October 19, 1925, in Philadelphia, Layton studied music as a child, but majored in meteorology in college.
