The Innocents were a mid-'60s outfit from Southern California, consisting of Danny Wheetman (vocals), Jim Pettit (lead guitar), Woody Minnich (rhythm guitar), Richard Majewski (bass), and Bill Schnetzler (drums), which later evolved into the Humane Society, who rated a recording contract with Liberty Records that lasted for one single. The Innocents never got past a demo session at Golden State Recorders, but they made it pay off big, musically at least, with their original version of "Knock Knock,"...
