Great app and well built

I have been using YAZIO for about 6 months now and I am more than satisfied. Keeping track of your meals and food, proves very helpful in understanding what nutrients go into your body. I love the meals suggestions, dieting plans and variety in recipes.
Since I have subscribed to other similar app in the past and I kept losing data, I am glad that YAZIO is stable, well built and designed and I can trust that whatever I input will stay there.
Improvement requests: 1. a better explanation between “Create food, meal and recipe”. That always gets me confused. 2. custom iconography

Nice, but not always accurate

It’s very nice because it helps you determine how many calories you intake per day -and keep track of your weight. However, the calories, protein percentage etc, given for various foods, are not reliable. For instance, looking up “τυρί φέτα 100 γρ”, gives from 68 kcal to 276 kcal (!) Also, for 106 grams of chicken meat (κοτοπουλο μιμικος) gives only 10 grams of protein. Whereas for 100 grams of “χυλοπιτες” (a kind of pasta) gives 14.3 grams of protein and only 6.4 grams of carbohydrates! So I have to search at the internet for the accurate values. Maybe the problem exists only in the Greek version, but it’s really frustrating.
PS. I subscribed to Pro, to help the programmers fix these issues. :-)
PS2. After the creator’s response, I noticed a funny thing: If I enter, at the search bar of the app, the word “κοτοπουλο” (chicken) without a stress mark over “ο” (κοτόπουλο), I get no verified (with green check) entries. The same holds true for other foods in Greek. Maybe that could be fixed, so that putting a stress mark on a word, or not, produces the same results.
NOTE: Even at the verified entries (green mark) I see great differences for the same food. For instance, “Γάλα χαμηλών λιπαρών, 1 φλυτζάνι” gives from 102 to 188 kcal!

Needs improvement

I have been using the app for a couple of weeks as a paid user. It does the job, however,
- Food registration and calories calculation is not always accurate. I often find myself googling foods to confirm. Certainly less user friendly than Noom.
- Messaging could become more motivational/positive psychology oriented. When it’s the evening, you’ve tried all day and go to bed hungry and the app shows you are in “red” because you are 100kcal above your target, it can be disappointing. You will still loose weight but just a little less. Right now messaging/coloring often feels quite “dry”.
- For me the cherry on the pie was that I just lost all my data. As a paid user through Apple store and after being asked several questions to create my profile, I was assuming that all is well. However suddenly I got logged out and it seems the app never retained any login data. And never sent me any notification of any sort regarding my profile. So now goodbye to all data about weight, exercise for and calories for 2 weeks. Very frustrated!

All in all, given the reasonable price point I still recommend this app. However it needs improvement.
