About Aschera

Guitarist, composer, keyboardist, and saxophonist Aschera was born in Germany in 1955 and given the name Ronald Hoth. When still a child, he began to learn to play the guitar. As an adult he became a composer, bandleader, music teacher, and even founded a music school of his own. Aschera did not reach for a musical career for years. He started off slowly, playing in clubs. In 1995 he began working on his unique solo debut album, Whales of Atlantis. A year later he gathered up a band and hit the road. That same year, BSC Music released the euphonious guitar instrumental Whales of Atlantis. Some of the wonderful, restful tracks on this successful first effort are "Tenderness," "Time of Dreams," "Sleep Well," and "Way of Hearts." Over the years, Aschera has toured often and appeared on television shows. He has worked with artists like Bonnie Tyler, Jonny Hill, Chris Norman, Dirk Busch, Howard Carpendale, and others. In 2000, Aschera finished his sophomore album, Return of the Angels. Without taking a break, he went right to work on a vocal recording, Love Is the Answer. ~ Charlotte Dillon
