Electric Soft Parade

About Electric Soft Parade

British brothers Alex and Tom White formed the nexus of the Electric Soft Parade in the early aughts as a bedroom tape operation. Their harmony-laden neo-psychedelia, equally informed by '90s indie-pop, garnered the attention of a small record label who released their first album in 2002. The band's profile rose significantly when that debut was nominated for the Mercury Prize, and the brothers were briefly signed to BMG. Although they later parted ways with the major label, the Electric Soft Parade has remained a prolific recording unit, releasing singles, EPs, and albums.
