Since they formed in 2001, post grunge outfit Estranged have impacted the industry on three different fronts—the English indie scene, Malay mainstream charts and at festivals. Debuting in 2004, their indie cred was topped by the success of Malay single “Itu Kamu”, named Best Song at music competition Anugerah Juara Lagu in 2008. While staying true to their rock essence, Estranged also collaborated with Fazura & Sabrina on ballad “Torn” and lead singer Rich Gimbang joined an all-star line-up including K-Clique on 2020 pop anthem “Sabah Bangkit”.
