About Helen Boulding
Singer/songwriter Helen Boulding, a Sheffield, England native, first came to London to study under Annie Lennox’s vocal coach. She put her training to use as a background singer for 911, but it was her songwriting skills that really impressed producer Eliot Kennedy; with him, she co-wrote the teen pop group’s 1997 Top Five hit "The Day We Find Love." Work with Squeeze’s Chris Difford, Pink Floyd’s Rick Wright, American hitmaker Billy Steinberg, and the Good, the Bad & the Queen's Simon Tong followed. In 2003, she co-wrote "Maybe That's What It Takes," the debut single of Fame Academy winner Alex Parks. Two years later, she released her House Work EP, followed by 2008's New Red Dress, her debut album. ~ David Jeffries
