Jean-Paul Bondy

Originally from Detroit, electronica musician and animator Jean-Paul Bondy spent his early years playing drums in various new wave, industrial, and techno bands throughout the city as well as working as a hip-hop DJ. In 1993 Bondy moved to L.A., where he begin experimenting with the slower ambient and chillout genres with Colophon and Two Silver Boxes, and in 1998 he formed the group Volsoc with Justin Maxwell. After moving to Berlin, where he continued to work as a DJ, Bondy released his first solo album, Path of Most Resistors, in 2006 on Compost Records. ~ Marisa Brown
