Based out of Camano Island, Washington, prolific ambient, new age-infused, contemporary pop composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Jeff Johnson came from a foundation of progressive rock and contemporary Christian music. Fantasy, science fiction, and spirituality informed early works like Face of the Deep, Through the Door, Fallen Splendour, and Pilgrimage, while later offerings like The Isle of Dreams, A Thin Silence, Standing Still, and Journey Prayers added worldbeat, Celtic, jazz, and holiday music into the mix. Johnson is also a prolific collaborator who has worked with the likes of classical singer Janet Chvatal, flutist Brian Dunning, and American guitarist and vocalist Phil Keaggy, with whom he recorded 2009's Frio Suite and 2012's WaterSky. ~ James Christopher Monger
