Biography

b. USA. Keyboard player, singer and songwriter Jim Dandy came to prominence as the guiding light behind one of the southern states of America’s most inspiring bands, Black Oak Arkansas. When the band stalled in the early 80s Dandy set out on a solo career with 1984’s appealing Ready As Hell, where he was joined by fellow Black Oak Arkansas guitarist Ricky Reynolds. The irreverence and musical power of this and the subsequent The Black Attack Is Back set convinced many that Dandy remained a force in contemporary rock music, but recent solo outings have been more sporadic since he re-formed Black Oak Arkansas.
