About Large Mound
With influences as diverse as Sebadoh, AC/DC, Fugazi, Dinosaur Jr., and Teenage Fanclub (among others), Dublin, Ireland's Large Mound came together with the goal of combining hard rock with quirky, insightful lyrics. After releasing their debut single, I Thought You Were Dead, Mark Jordan (guitar, vocals), Anthony Mackey (guitar, vocals), Hugh McCabe (bass), and Eric Stover (drums) released Raised on Rock in 2002 on Julius Geezer Records. Two years later, the group issued its sophomore album, Go Forth and Amplify, on Scientific Laboratories. ~ Katherine Fulton
