Leonore Piano Trio

About Leonore Piano Trio

The Leonore Piano Trio has specialized in the music of neglected Romantic composers. The group has also performed and recorded contemporary music on occasion, as well as the chamber music of Beethoven. The group was formed in 2012. The trio's three members are violinist Benjamin Nabarro, cellist Gemma Rosefield, and pianist Tim Horton. The trio quickly was contracted for concerts through the U.K., continental Europe, and New Zealand. In 2016-2017, it made its debut at Wigmore Hall. The trio was signed to Hyperion soon after its formation and, early in 2014, released its debut album, the trios of Anton Arensky, which met with praise. Subsequent recordings, such as a 2018 album devoted to the music of composer Johann Peter Pixis, covered even more unusual music. In 2022, the group issued an album of piano trios by composer Woldemar Bargiel.
