Luisa Maria Güell is a Cuban-born singer, songwriter, and actress with a long list of accomplishments. She left her native country in 1968 for Spain, where she knew the composer Manuel Alejandro. Among her many accolades is a 2007 Latin Grammy nomination in the category of Best Tango Album for Una, one of over two-dozen albums released over the course of her career. ~ Jason Birchmeier
