MV + EE is the neo-psychedelic duo of Matt Valentine and Erika Elder, who work with an ever-shifting cast of other musicians under various band names such as the Golden Road and the Bummer Road. The duo's blend of acoustic folk and effect-laden psychedelia ties them into the acid folk continuum alongside earlier acts like Pearls Before Swine as well as contemporaries like Devendra Banhart. The duo are hugely productive, releasing 20 albums on their own Child of Microtones label alongside more widely available albums like 2006's MOTHER OF THOUSANDS and 2007's GETTIN' GONE.
