A punk rock act from Munich that was part punk, part garage, and part Northern Soul, Superpunk (a five-piece) got started in 1996. Their first album, A Bisserl was Geht Immer (on Fidel Bastro), was released in 1999. Wasser Marsch! followed in 2001, Einmal Superpunk, Bitte in 2004, and Können Sie das Groß Machen Bitte?! in 2005. All were released on L'age d'or. 2008 found Superpunk on the Tapete Records label, and that year the group released album number five, Why Not? ~ Chris True
