An eclectic performer who incorporates R&B, soul, folk, and country into her pristine pop sound, New Jersey-born singer-songwriter Toby Lightman unveiled her debut, LITTLE THINGS, in 2004. The album’s follow-up, BIRD ON A WIRE, revealed Lightman’s maturing songcraft, but still put an end to her major-label deal. In ’08, she issued her third full-length outing, LET’S GO, on her own label, and also won over an unlikely car-obsessed audience with her country-tinged NASCAR theme song, “NASCAR Love (Let’s Go Racing).”
