About Blue Rodeo

Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor met in high school and cycled through several projects and musical styles before forming Blue Rodeo in 1985. ∙ The original lineup included Bob Wiseman on keyboards, but he left in 1992 to begin what would become a storied career as a songwriter, composer, and producer. ∙ Their 1991 hit “What Am I Doing Here” was inspired by a gig at the Erie County Fair, which the group headlined following a high school battle of the bands. ∙ They have collaborated numerous times with fellow Canadian Sarah McLachlan, most prominently on their 1993 album, Five Days in July. ∙ In 2010, they performed a series of concerts as part of the celebrations surrounding that year’s Vancouver Olympics. ∙ The band has won 12 Juno Awards, including a 2012 induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
