I just need normal friends

This app deserves more credits than this! Finally an app that allows people to make normal friends without having to explain to creepy dudes why u aren’t looking for a marriage partner(like dating apps) By not having to post our real photos, it takes away the shallow part of judging others on look, etc. It’s definitely a good approach and the demographic is certainly ideal. There are many sincere people looking to establish solid friendships instead of our 21st century low minimum effort texting. This brings back a lot of good memories from a decade ago when i used to write letters. Hmm nostalgic .

Interesting

The inbox always shows “no coming letters at this moment” even when there are letters arriving. I have to re-open the app a few times to get the “there are 2 letters arriving..” notification. Also, the red banner “system error” appears quite often. I don’t understand why this app is being featured before these bugs are fixed.

For the friends page, it’s difficult to see whose reply is arriving because both incoming and outgoing delivery use the same “triangle” sign. I need to click each friend’s name to check the status of the letters, like whether they have been sent or read or if they have made a reply.

For auto-match, even though I opted for matching with users who “last online within 48 hours” , I found that it doesn’t tally with the last online record shown on the profile of the users I matched with.

Last but not least, I appreciate your team’s idea in developing this app. It offers a platform for people to make friends in a more traditional way (similar to snail mail but in a modern way) when other similar app or websites are mostly about dating or require instant responses.

Good concept for a social networking app

1. No photos unless you both agreed to exchange, so no one judge each other base on appearance, thus it’s easier to connect with all kinds of people.

2. Bring back the excitement of waiting for letters. No instant message. People are more patient and are willing to type more and talk about deeper issues cause each message takes time to arrive and you won’t want to just write a few lines to waste the chance.

3. Stamp collecting is fun! The stamps are cute.
