Always relied on food guru to queue up for tables at restaurant. As usual, I kept monitoring the ticket number shown in the app, but suddenly the number jumped from 158 to 189 within a minute. There was no notification from the app, even if I ran to the restaurant, I was still too late to get my table with my ticket number 168. The data signal was good and I doubt the restaurant would call 20 tickets within a minute. So after queuing for an hour, I need to get a new ticket and wait for another 15 tables. Thanks food guru. I’m gonna tell all my friends about this.

New version mandatory? Why?
Your requirement only allow the latest version to run is dictatorial. When you release a new version, you ban the earlier version after a few days without warning. It is at the moment we want to check our queuing status. It’s very disappointing.

Intrusive ads in new versions very annoying
Intrusive ads in new versions are very annoying. Need a button in front page for searching for nearby restaurants - not 4 clicks and zoom in to find only sponsoring restaurants. I say this because I care: don’t be so shortsighted and rush into all the cash-grabbing changes, make your app loved by everyone, the profits will follow. You don’t see Google popping a full-page ad in the web search screen, do you?
