The Tale of Fauna Jotundottir

The Tale of Fauna Jotundottir is a character-based story that began as a Second Life fantasy role play backstory, which became a poem, and finally developed into an illustrated book in the style of the 19th Century romantic fairy tale books.  It chronicles the first 26 years of the life of a mixed-race creature who is half Nordic giantess and half Mediterranean faun as she seeks a sense of belonging.  Along the way she meets pixies, a troll, various elves and fairies, a selkie, dragon mages, a demon and a naga.


All of the illustration images were created in Second Life by the author and many feature custom avatars designed for the story.
