Album Review

Immortal, the fourth studio outing from For Today, marks the Sioux City, Iowa-based Christian metalcore outfit's first release for the Razor & Tie label. Produced by Will Putney (Lamb of God, Suicide Silence) and featuring guest appearances from Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D., Jake Luhrs of August Burns Red, and Tommy Green of Sleeping Giant, Immortal is a much more polished affair than 2010's Breaker. Melodic, powerful, unrelenting, and infused with furious, uncompromising faith, the album's endless machine-like breakdowns, moody atmospherics, and soaring choruses will resonate with fans of like-minded acts such as Disturbed, As I Lay Dying, and the Devil Wears Prada.
