Star of Un Air de Famille, director of Le Gout des Autres, and regular collaborator with screenwriter husband Jean-Pierre Bacri, the multi-talented Agnes Jaoui added another string to her bow in 2006 with her debut album, Canta. Influenced by her love of Latin music, its 12 flamenco, bossa nova, and samba-inspired tracks, sung entirely in Spanish and Portuguese, include covers of Chico Buarque's "O Meu Amor" and Vinicius de Moraes' "Samba em Prelúdio." ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi
