Evolving circa 1999 from the remnants of a punk band (whence they get their strict D.I.Y. ethic), Greensboro, NC, "Southern-fried dirt metal" band Facedowninshit comprises vocalist/bassist Waylon Riffs, guitarist/vocalist Jason Crumer, and drummer Ryan Wolfe, who have since toured and recorded several albums and EPs, mostly on their own dime. These include 2001's Concrete World, 2002's Shit Bloody Shit (featuring short-tenured second guitarist David Sullivan, later of Last of the Juanitas), 2004's Passing Times, and, after striking a new deal with Relapse Records, 2006's NPON: Nothing Positive Only Negative. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
